I am also a qualified .b teacher, (pronounced dot-be). .b is an exciting Mindfulness Meditation course aimed at years 10’s although it has been used very successfully for years 9 & 11 as well as parents!
.b is a nine week course designed to enhance, hone and practice concentration and self-awareness skills which can help students find ways to better respond to the various pressures that can be experienced as students at school, with peer groups and within families.
Students have said that the mindfulness training has helped them not only with stress, anxiety and relationships but also with the ability to concentrate in lessons, sleeping better and feeling calmer. The course has also helped them with their studies in music and sport.

In 2012, the Mindfulness in Schools Project collaborated with the Universities of Exeter and Cambridge to assess the effectiveness of the .b mindfulness in schools curriculum in secondary schools to:
- Enhance students’ well-being and mental health
- Help students cope with stress
- Develop students’ attention and focus
- Helps students realise their potential
